I've chosen the lyrics to Peter Gabriel's IN YOUR EYES. This song has been my favorite since I first heard it in 1986. The photo is a photo of JESUS (or Robert Powell as Jesus, in the movie "Jesus of Nazareth). In my eyes, this song is for HIM (Jesus, not Robert Powell, though he IS a beautiful man, too!). * NOTE: If this song isn't playing right now, you can go to my Playlist (all the way at the bottom of the page) and find it on there, and get it playing.)

"In Your Eyes" by Peter Gabriel (from his 1986 album, "So")
love I get so lost, sometimes
days pass and this emptiness fills my heart
when I want to run away
I drive off in my car
but whichever way I go
I come back to the place you are
all my instincts, they return
and the grand facade, so soon will burn
without a noise, without my pride
I reach out from the inside
in your eyes
the light the heat
in your eyes
I am complete
in your eyes
I see the doorway to a thousand churches
in your eyes
the resolution of all the fruitless searches
in your eyes
I see the light and the heat
in your eyes
oh, I want to be that complete
I want to touch the light
the heat I see in your eyes
love, I don't like to see so much pain
so much wasted and this moment keeps slipping away
I get so tired of working so hard for our survival
I look to the time with you to keep me awake and alive
and all my instincts, they return
and the grand facade, so soon will burn
without a noise, without my pride
I reach out from the inside
in your eyes
the light the heat
in your eyes
I am complete
in your eyes
I see the doorway to a thousand churches
in your eyes
the resolution of all the fruitless searches
in your eyes
I see the light and the heat
in your eyes
oh, I want to be that complete
I want to touch the light,
the heat I see in your eyes
in your eyes in your eyes
in your eyes in your eyes
in your eyes in your eyes

I love that song. I love that entire album. Did you know Peter Gabriel took the music from one song, lyrics from another and put the two together to get this song?! Isn't that amazing? The creative spirit is a fantastic thing.
I was telling Patty that I have a ceramic cauldron I just found and am going to use it for loose herbs next time. That might be easier and I like the idea of them being free.
You're right, things can carry some seriously bad vibes. I'm writing about water and sun cleansing tomorrow about this.
I love that song and it's lyrics. Peter Gabriel's music holds a special place in my heart as it was a big favorite of my Dad's, who passed away thirteen years ago. A beautiful tribute to your beliefs. Thanks for sharing these words!
i forgot what a great words are in this song and i thank you for putting the whole lyrics here (no need for me to search, te-hee!)

p.s. now i am heading to your flickr to check out your photoZ ;-)
